Youth Advisory Board meets on the first Monday of every month at 3pm. Our meetings are held at the Library.
What is the Youth Advisory Board?
​The Newmarket Public Library's Youth Advisory Board are students in grades 6-12 who want to take an active part to help the library and enrich the community. 
What does the YAB do?

• Help run library programs
• Write online book reviews
• Select Teen Choice Books in the Young Adult section
• Recommend items for the library collection

What's in it for you?

• Use your creativity to create fun programs
• Make your voice heard by sharing ideas with the library community
• Grow your leadership skills
• Make new friends
• Add skills to your resume and a letter of recommendation
• Earn community service hours

Meetings are held once a month with snacks. Community service hours are awarded for each meeting, book review, and project you participate in.
